behind the scenes with the people of MFM
Hello, and Welcome
This is the story and introduction to the people behind MFM. Moldfreemenu is a food blog specializing in CIRS/Biotoxin illness support, and many are involved in its creation and upkeep.
As a mold illness survivor myself, I am all too familiar with the myriad of symptoms, tests, and results. You will see quite a bit from me as I orchestrate the construction of this site. In addition to the information I present, the people of MFM for whom I am so deeply grateful are: 1. the long list of professionals that generously share their knowledge and expertise so that more people do not suffer, and 2. You- the people that read and support Moldfreemenu.
My personal experience starts like many others suffering from biotoxin illness: mystery symptoms, multiple doctor visits, and more questions than answers. The eventual CIRS diagnosis defined my path forward, triggering a lifestyle & meal plan pivot that changed my life.
It is my sincere desire to help you and your loved save precious time & money, provide clarity, and rebuild your health. I do not have decades of experience as a medical professional specializing in CIRS, but I can speak from firsthand experience and harvest pertinent information from those that do.
The MFM blog could not be as thorough as it is today without the input of experts from a variety of backgrounds. The team consists of chefs, home cooks, certified nutritionists, MD’s, nurse practitioners, and toxic mold remediation experts to name a few. Hopefully, you too will join the group by sharing your favorite CIRS approved recipes with the hungry community!
Together we can navigate back to health!

Some details regarding mold illness are still heavily debated as the world continues to research and experiment with this complex condition. Most traditional MD’s are doing the best they can, given the parameters of their extensive education. My personal advice? Be your own advocate- ask a lot of questions, know your body, and do the best you can. There are many reputable healthcare professionals specializing in CIRS and mold illness recovery that will likely provide the final piece of the healing puzzle. Personally, I found the winning combination of all three- MD, Integrative medicine, and self knowledge- to be the most effective.

YOU are among the people of MFM’s that make it a success and we are so grateful for your contributions. If you have not yet shared your favorite CIRS approved recipe- please do so here- we’re all looking forward to giving it a try!
